Patch 1.93 for Apex landed on April 5. It wasn't long before players started to run into connection issues. Now they're happening more frequently after the patch went live.
Hundreds of players have reported they've encountered error icons since the patch, according to a post on the Apex subreddit that went viral.
Packet loss, latency, rubber-banding, and other difficulties have recently surfaced. One player even stated that calculating the number of wins would be easier than counting the number of losses.
You'd be surprised how many games they've played with no Apex check engine lights on.
“I used to get it but now every time I start a game, even training, I get a good 30 seconds packet loss,” another said.
While many are having difficulty, it is unclear if Respawn is aware of the issues. The Apex bug Trello board lacks a card for latency or connectivity. However, coders may be aware of the issues, but haven't yet raised a ticket.
In either case, we all hope the issue is resolved soon so we can return to dropping in with minimal connection concerns.
