Is E3 2022 canceled?

While there has been no official announcement from the ESA, a number of people have rushed to Twitter on March 31 to say they received an email stating that the entire E3 conference has been canceled.

According to well-known journalist and industry insider Jeff Grubb, who first assumed the online event had been canceled, the event had already been scrapped, this is correct.

"E3 has been canceled," Grubb stated in a TikTok post on January 16. In terms of the physical event, it has been canceled. "It was presumably also canceled digitally." He goes on to say that GameBeat doesn't know much about the video game show circuit this summer, and that it's possible that there may be a virtual E3 this summer.
